I have a 2dr post 65 dodge dart. 408, 904 with 2.74 low gear, with a 4200 stall, 3.55 gears. Dyno'd 504 hp at 5700, tq 518 at 4600. Racers run what this dyno shows for there hp numbers from what I hear. I have all steel body parts, no heater or ac, lighter buckets from Procar, rack and pinion plus coil overs for front suspension plus Wilwood brakes up front, ford 8.8 rear, front tires and wheels weigh 31 lb each, rear tires and wheels way 48 lbs each, will be running ET streets at the track. Not sure what it weighs, guesses welcome. What do you think it should run in 2400 DA air? That is a good average here on an average 72 degree day. Due to the 4200 stall, I assume the 60 ft will be off a touch, and the wide gear splits won't help a lot either. Guesses? 1/4 mile ET and speed? Will have some sticky tires for the track. DA is usually 2,000 ft on a good day. I am guessing 11.20 to 11.40? About 118 to 120 mph. If anyone can copy and paste the FB text, please do so. I can't

They are actually about five inches longer in the wheelbase than a valiant, I believe. I would love to get those numbers! No rollbar though, so I will be pulling a Dom a couple of short passes, then at the end of the day, let er rip

I wish you the best, but I suspect unless it’s a track rental situation where you can make a bunch of passes, that there will be unanswered questions remaining at the end of the day.
I don’t think it will run what “the numbers” indicate it will run on it’s first outing to the track.

I agree, things seldom go according to plan on a first outing. I fully expect to be "off the mark" by up to a half second, depending on what all is wrong with the combo. In my favor, it is a pretty simple package, it has been dyno'd, converter stalls about 4200, which is more than expected from what i was told when i ordered it, and it pulls cleanly up to 100 mph, as fast as i had bail money for. I figure one or more of the incrementals will give me a good idea of its' full potential, with some luck. Since i have no rollbar, i am only going to run it the full 1/4 at the end of the day. Edit: at this time i don't have a cold air system, and only 3.55 gears. Those two things alone might add a quarter second. Jetting might need to change, since the headers are different. Shift points ? 6000 by the tach, i think should work well.

I pluged in 464 hp and 3370 lbs into the Wallace calculater. I took 40 hp off due to average da of 2000 and no cold air package. The calculater predicts 11.28 at 119.81 mph. More ET and some mph will be lost running a 3.55 gear, not sure how much. I figure a good first outing would be 11.50s at 117 or so. We will see, maybe not till spring though.

I bet it will surprise you Greg. And as fall approaches you shouldnt have problems finding air WAY under 2000 feet up in Minny. My car is 3300, and has been best in my signature. That was with a 727 and Too tight of convertor. Just stock stroke, mild eddies. 4.10 gear with 28 tire, little over 10 to 1. I generally just shift it not much over 6 K, and running it with mufflers on it. Now have a 904 in it, but missed badly on the convertor, runs better in the front, worse in the back...... good bit too loose. How tall a tire? 26 or 27? That 3.55 might not hurt all thst much with the 4 inch arm. Bet it threatens the 10’s. Your stuff runs good

Thanks for the compliment, B. I am looking at a 255/45/18 because i have rims to fit. 26.0 diameter. You may be right on the 3.55s not hurting much. At 120 mph the rpm would be about 5800 given 6 percent slip. I do have an idea for a cold air package. Using an old air cleaner base and top, i can form a duct to a cone type air filter down low by the valance. Might help a lot.

It gives me something to go by. Figuring in the differences between our cars, I would be about 4 tenths behind you . 220 lbs more weight, 35 less hp, higher DA (MINN!) less gear and converter.
