Come on Doc, don't be so CHEAP. You had the money to buy a 6.4 Hemi powered car so I'm sure you can afford the Pennzoil Ultra 0W40 synthetic oil.

If you keep an eye on Walmart and Napa's websites, I'm sure it goes on sale periodically.

Do you have any connections with a Chrysler dealership or a Mopar Performance warehouse? If you do, you could probably get a deal on the oil.

Doc, 74 buckaroos for an oil change that meets not only srt spec, but your spec as well, can you please show us where you can get a better deal? Are you holding out on all of us? You've asked this question a different way 3 times in the last year. Cmon dude, share it with us! We want in

mopJ ..... be very happy to share what deal I had .... repeat HAD tsk

Wally World 5 quart jug of 12633 Valvoline oil ..... 26 clams smoke

A case of 12 899 Mopar filters ... 50 beans .... penguin

STILL have a bunch of filters left .... but no oil.

Wally World used to offer both Penn and V in jugs ... no more. V has been dropped completely!

In fact in my initial investigation.... NO ONE offers that spec oil in jugs anymore!

Does anyone GET THIS ?

Shell oil owns Pennzoil !!

And NOW ..... the only way to buy the 0-40 is in quarts .,...

.....and 55 gallon drums !

Re: Any SRT oil deals out there ? - 11/20/21 12:30 PM

I saw Penzoil platinum ultra in the jug for sale on walmart.com for $26, but it doesn't say SRT on the container, it just states its euro spec oil now. Going forward, I have decided to try amsoil and titan. They are true 100% synthetic oils, not products labeled fully synthetic to hook people into buying lower tier products. You really do get what you pay for here.

Re: Any SRT oil deals out there ? - 11/21/21 02:43 AM

I buy Mobil 1 0w-40 in the 5 quart jug from Walmart. Every day price is several dollars cheaper PER QUART then autozone or Oreilly. And occasionally walmart does a sale on it. Hard to beat.Been buying my Mobil 1 oil there for 10 years of SRT driving.

Re: Any SRT oil deals out there ? - 11/21/21 06:34 AM

Don’t know why ... but M1 doesn’t have that 12633 spec ....

I was supposed to have gotten a call back from Shell on WHAT EXACTLY the 12633 was ...

I’ll have to follow that up on Monday

From another website.

I know I'm an idiot (sorry), but how are we supposed to know if a particular oil is certified for MS-12633, or only meets MS-12633? Is there a difference?

The question was posted by Dr.J.

Another Doc asking the same question????? laugh2

It is just a ploy to get you to buy the Pennzoil. FCA is in bed with them and came up with this new spec to sell more high dollar oil.

The simple fact is, they can not require you to use any specific oil unless they provide it free of charge. It is against the law. The recommendation is 0w-40 synthetic in the manual. If you use this, regardless of brand or MS spec number, you are still covered under the warranty.

fOcUs on the question tsk

The 12633 spec AND reasonable pricing !

Re: Any SRT oil deals out there ? - 11/21/21 07:41 AM

Let me clarify this a bit more ....

Maybe this IS just a game by FCA and Pennzoil .....

I was owed a return call from Shell in Houston and I did ask a local dealer for a contact name at CTC .,

Nothing yet ....

Also .... remember the pic of the SRT oil fill engine cap ?
