Has anyone used these heads, and how much power were you able to make with them.

Easy 9’s or 10’s with the right combo and mild porting work at 3000 pounds or less

Promaxx smallblock heads are available from Summit and/or Jegs. They are not cheap.

The same casting is sold by Todd Marsh as the Sidewinder. His prices are lower. The nice thing is that he builds your heads himself and they are ready to run, out of the box. Plus you will know exactly what components were used and the heads will be matched to your needs.
Marsh Performance is the name he goes by.

I hope to have a set of Sidewinders this year to do some testing with them. If they look and check out as nice as the ProMaxx at a cheaper price I may buy several sets. My porting tools are getting restless.

I bought a set recently and had modern cnc port them.I'll be replacing my ported j heads on a 12.1 416.I believe they flowed 308 at .600 and 315 at .700 with a 2.08 valve.

No I haven’t and probably never will. I have so much old school stuff layout by around it would be crazy for me to change this late in life. I did a quick count the other day and I have one Keith black block, one mega block, one R3 block, one R block, one 340 block, one 440 block, and ten 360 LA blocks. Crazy. I turned down a whole 360 block for 50.00 a month ago and a 340 with ProMaxx heads for 1800.00 this week.

funny.... I sold 30 years of stuff and had our current W8 built. I'm already formulating an exit plan of sorts and you're 10 years ahead of me! Admire the tenacity smile

Hitting the shop in the winter just isn't as much fun as it used to be but Spring is coming. I would really miss racing so I'm not ready to hang up my helmet yet, but I sure had a good time getting out fishing late last year. I promise you I will get out more this year fishing.
