This is not a test cap. I have got about 1500 miles on it so far with no problems. Little window is super glued in place.

I have just cut a window in the cap with a carbide burr. I left it open for a wile but changed caps eventually. I was worried it would start a fire if I got a gas leak.

No need to have a clear top window hole cover...
Drill a 0.75" hole, when done phasing the rotor just snap in a 0.75" plastic black hole plug available at virtually any Ace Hardware or auto parts store.

Just my $0.02... wink

I just used a spare cap with a hole in the top whenever making any adjustments. Replaced it with a fresh cap with no hole on top but a series of holes around it to vent the cap.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
