I have an 89 1/2 ton 4WD with a 318 and a stick and the turn signals are giving me fits. The hazards work fine. All the bulbs check out. Replaced the flasher.
What happens is when you turn the switch to the right I can hear the flasher working but the lights on the dash don't work. They blink at the bulb but not on the dash. Same with the left.
But they only work intermittently. I have a new computer coming tomorrow because one injector doesn't fire at idle and low speeds sometimes and that's what I've traced that issue down to.
So my question is did the engineers run part of the turn signal circuit through the computer or do I have a bad turn signal switch?
On top of that, if it is the turn signal switch, I can't find one anywhere, as they only show them for my year with a tilt wheel and I don't have a tilt wheel.
What do you all think?
Thanks

So that means I need to pull the dash apart and look at the bulb connections there?
Unreal. Seems like the weird crap happens to me.
Thank you

The little brass fingers on the bulb sockets lose their tension after years of pressing on the printed circuit board. Try bending them outward slightly, and make sure the contact surfaces on the circuit board and the socket are clean. Thank you. I'm going out later today and see what goes wrong LOL

Try tapping on the plastic gauge cover sometime when one of them isn't flashing and see if it comes on. If it does, pretty sure sign it is the bulb socket to circuit board connection. It's happened to many of my older Mopars. I have bought NOS bulb sockets and put a new long life 194 in all of them at the same time.
Facts are stubborn things.
