Anyone have the overall lengths of the various colored Mopar throttle return springs? It seems they are advertised by OE application, color and number of coils. I have not seen overall length.

I have always done throttle springs by fit and pedal feel... also with aftermarket springs.

I have a repo spring for my 69 440 motor and it's overall length is 6 1/4 inch.

Agreed! I was hoping not to have to purchase a bunch of springs to figure this out. I have too much pedal feel with the current aftermarket spring on there now. Its installed with a lot of stretch to it at rest. I was hoping to find something with a better fit. In general it seems many have return spring issues with aftermarket stuff. Suppliers wanting to sell more springs might include overall length and potentially coil thickness to the specs. The current color and number of coils isn't very helpful.

You can always adjust spring length by bending the ends.
If yours is too stiff, get one a tad longer.

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.

I would love to, that's the question! Seems there are about 8 to 10 variations of Mopar throttle return springs on the market, red, orange, green, gray, etc. None of the suppliers of these springs indicate length in order to buy one a tad longer. The whole thing seems odd!

FWIW I got mine setup with a spring assortment from AZ. Some trial and error was required.
