I'm still on the home stretch and the little things keep biting me in the butt.

I realize that there is an adapter that snaps on the end of the arm and has a little rod that slips through a hole in the blade cassette. Classic Auto Industries doesn't sell the adapter with the blades, which is a CROCK for $50+Shipping. Does anyone know what the stock connectors/adapters look like and where I can get my paws on a set?

Thanks,

Lindy

you might punch in the right phrase on eBay & see if any pics of the right piece you are after comes up. Or post an ad locally (CL) with your make/model

are these adapters used to install modern blades on the old arms ? i have several left over plastic adapters laying around from replacing blades over the years. if that may be what you are looking for, post a pic of your arm end and the blade you are trying to use. if i have what you need, i'll send 'em to ya, gratis.

These are original arms and vintage reproduction blades. The arms have a button pressed into the steel about an inch from the tip. The wipers have a hole where a pin is supposed to go through. I don't know how to attach a file and since photobucket decided to charge $400 a year for hosting I haven't figured out who to host through.

Here's the wiper blade and the piece I need with the pin above it.

They actually show two different styles of wiper in their catalog for 70 b bodies.

Good luck on finding accurate info on wipers. I had to do my own research, and I suspect you will have to as well.

It's not clear from your initial post what your trying to do. From your post above, it sounds like you are trying to find the correct original wiper blades for the original wiper arms of 1970 Super Bee? If so...

Go to the 1970 Parts book. Look up all three items; wiper arms, wiper blades and refills. When I looked in '67, '68 and '69 I was able to find patterns in the part number and the descriptions. (Both Anco and Trico blades were used in those years.)

Now here's the catch, so to speak. To say you are looking for ANCO or Trico is not enough. Anco and Trico make several styles of blades. The current series don't cross reference to the pushbutton series ANCO made back in the 60s and 70s. I don't know about the Trico. I can say the current 'classic' is not a reissue but just a retro look. So take the p/n from Dodge and do some 'net searches for images of the real thing. Then you know what to look for.

Are you looking for this plastic piece? I have Napa
Vintage 60-1647's on my car and a spare set in the garage. They don't use the plastic portion. Mine just use the pin on the end of the wiper arm and no need for the adapter portion.

YES YES YES!!! That plastic adapter with the pin is exactly the part I need.
I'm going to call Anco today and see if they have something similar. Where did you but those? Are they 15 or 16"?

I bought them at a local NAPA store. They had them in stock. If you can't find them, or don't want to spend money on a new set of wipers, let me know. I am guessing you may be able to use the adapters more than once if gentle with them with install and removal. My car doesn't use them, so if you want me to send them to you shoot me your address and I'll put them in a bubble envelope and ship them out within the next few days. Busy around the house, so not sure exactly when they will get out.

Are these wipers for your 70 Bee? If so, factory wiper blades were 15" not 16". Factory wiper ARM was style 15B.
