I am looking at some wheels for my dart which are 15x7 with 3 3/4" backspacing, and I'd like to know if anyone has run that size wheel with a 235/60 15, or larger? I am running an A body 8 3/4 rear with large bolt pattern. Thanks in advance.

I have a 68 Dart. Same clearance 67-69 Darts.

Nope in the rear and Nope in the front.

I have 245/60/15 SBP ralley on 15x7 rims with 4.25 backspacing. I have small bolt axles still. About perfectly centered and still rub a little

Do you have LBP axles or redrilled pattern on SBP axles. IIRC, the new or resplined LBP axles move the rims out like 1/4" or 3/8" on each side. \

I have better pictures showing rear clearance.

I have Yukon BBP axles.. so the problem is the backspacing is not enough at 3.75"? I have read that 235/60 is doable on Darts, but not sure if people are using a 4.5" backspacing for that.

Yes not enough backspacing for 245/60/15 with SBP axle (redrilled or not) or LBP axles. 4.5 backspacing might help more with wider LBP axles. You can fine tune adjust with steel shim spacers.

I don't know what the backspacing is, but my son's Dart has cut-down C-body axles in the 8-3/4 with factory 15x6.5 rallyes and 235-60-15 in the rear (well, it had them - had a tire go bad so it's got something else now). There was no fitment problem. Same wheels/tires up front with late disc brakes DID NOT FIT. We went with 215-60-15s up front.

Bump for the night crew-- rim specs for a 235/60 on a Dart? I might try getting some steel 15x7s at the junkyard..

I measured my 70 and see no problem getting a 235-60-15 to fit using 15x6.5 or 15x7 steel mopar wheels. The backspacing on the steel mopar wheels is 4.25" me thinks.

I have a b-body 8-3/4 cut down to exactly match the width of an a-body 8-1/4 axle. No leaf spring relocation, rolled fender lips or anything else.

3 3/4" with a 235/60 is not doable on a 14X7 or 15X7. You'll have an inner fender lip problem. Best bet on the 15X7 or 14X7 is a 4 1/2" BS. That can work with 235/60 and is doable with 245/60 but will be tight on the fender lip and real close to the spring. That's the problem with Torque Thrust wheels on the Dart. They come standard 3 3/4" BS and can be machined up to 4".

Ive had 255/60-15's on a 15X7 Cragar Street Star on my 71 Scamp. Fit with plenty of room. I had a 275/60 on a 15" cop wheel on the same car...A-body rear, stock spring location, and wheelwell lips intact. Same quarter as a Dart

What was your ride height in the rear? New springs? S/S Springs?

A 71 Scamp would have the same quarter as a 71 Dart. But how similiar is that to a 67-69 Dart. Do they share the same wheel lip moldings?

As I said in my post, they are the same wheelwell openings as a Dart. 67-69 would be the same as the 71. Ive compared them side by side. I had 2800lb S/S springs.

That will raise the rear over stock height.

My rear is low. My original springs are weak.
