As the title states, I'm wondering if a 15x8" wheel with a 5 1/2" backspace will work?
Stock rear wheel wells with the springs moved in to the chassis.
Any pics would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks all!

Mate, think you should be looking at 4.5" BS, 5.5" is alot, it will fit but 4.5 will look better. Are you going for a stock look ?

We modify steel rims here in Australia ( https://www.facebook.com/Dream-Build-Fabrication-118542518695958/ ) You need to take some measurements, Spring to hub face, hub face to inner fender the draw it on paper, centering the rim in that space so you can go for largest tire.

On my Duster with a stock size a-body width Dana, 5" comes out nice. Now one thing you have make sure of, even though the backing plate to backing plate is the same, the large bolt pattern axels stick out about 1/2" more than the small bolt pattern. Which do you have? I'm using a 29.5x9x15 Hooser Radial on a 10 inch rim. Stock spring locations. No pics everything is apart right now.
