I'm putting in a late 70's or early 80's intermittent wiper motor setup into mine. The difference I have noticed is while the wiper motor itself perfectly bolts into place, the later cars don't have the separate concealed wiper parking position that mine does. So this means when turned off, the wipers will no longer park below the windshield, just at the bottom of their normal travel. For me it's a small price to pay for having proper delay wipers. If you're going for correct/proper, this may annoy you.
I thought the delay wipers was a separate circuit from the wiper motor ?

It is, however the delay wiper cars used the wiper motor with the non-concealed parking position. That wiper motor has a pin on the connector that grounds out every time the wiper motor hits the bottom of it's travel. The delay wiper circuit needs to know when the wipers are at the bottom of their travel to begin the count down to the next swipe. On the wiper motors with the concealed parking position, this pin only grounds out when the wipers hit their parked/concealed position below the windshield.
Thanks , good info .

Might be harder to find, but, what about intermittent wipers from a late '70's B-body (Cordoba, Monaco, etc)?? The wipers don't 'park' while being used, but, park where they should when not in use.
Perhaps those wiper motors have a separate pin on the connector for the park position versus the end of sweet position? I've never had the chance to have a look at one of those, I think they were only available for a short time with the concealed delay wipers. A couple years maybe?

I wish I knew, I never looked at the setup close. Just a WAG on my part, I think the concealed delay wipers were available for 4-6 yrs. I wonder if the later still R-bodies had the same setup?
A long time ago I had a '78 Monaco wagon with the delay wipers, LOVED the feature and would like to have it on my current wagon.
My mom had a 79 St. Regis , the wipers weren't concealed .

Hmmmm.......I had a '79 Newport. I coulda sworn they were concealed. Partial? I know they weren't up on a cowl like the later M-bodies.
I found some images online , some were concealed , others weren't , they did have the hood line covering the cowl so I am probvably wrong ...
