The only place that I ever found that carried the bearing retainers as part of a kit was CarQuest. There supplier has now discontinued them. They have one left side (no adjusting side) in St. Louis. Every one is using green bearings now. I just bought Mosuer axles set up for tappered bearings for one of my cars and now I find out there not available any more. Afraid to use green bearings as the car is set up to corner hard and will be driven that way. I'll get a set of them off some used axles.
Dr. Diff here on Mopars has used ones. mailto:doctordiff@gmail.com

I need the following parts for an 8 3/4 rear end: axle shaft factory style tapered roller bearing retainer and end play adjuster. Where is a good place to purchase these new? I also need the installation/removal tool for these bearings. Of course, I could also purchase an axle shaft that is preassembled? Any suggestions?
removal tool is a dremel tool to put a notch in the inner race and cut the roller cage as you pull out enough rollers till you can remove the outer race and press off the inner race and retaining collar .
to install you use a shop press .
as far as new plates , not available unless you get lucky , i did a few years ago at the e town show that a few donkeys in jersey love to bash . i bought 6 NOS bearing kits which come with both bearing plates
