I am coming from Magnum heads and was going to use a set of Doug Lee valve covers, but not sure if they will work since I know the valve springs come really close to the edge.

http://www.propan.net/vcmopar2.htm

Think they will work? I know they are 5 bolt vs the 10 bolt, but not sure if they will have enough clearance.

Any other valve covers that look good and work?

Mr P_body, who cleaned up the covers for you? I love the way those look.

Anybody???

I am looking at the same thing!!! I have the Mopar Perf. cast Valve Covers that they sell for the W9 heads but the things feel like they weigh 5-10lbs each. THEY are heavy. Looking for something Lighter weight!!!

As many Different Valve Covers as I have seen on small blocks I can't believe there is no feed back, at least on other options.

I milled all the ribs and Mopar logo off then sanded
them nice(like doing body work) then have them coated
EDIT
those look like a reverse lip cover so yeah I agree
with Ryan..... BUT you will need to grind/mill for
the valve springs... same on the gasket

If it has a standard lip/flange that goes outwards
then no it wont fit... the wall would be into the springs

The valve covers Brad has on his 9's are made by Doug Lee and are the best I have ever seen.

Rick,

Doesn't Doug Lee have a web-site?

Got a link?? Have always heard he make some very nice ones.

I just totally forgot about him.

I ordered the ProComps BUT they are on back-order.

Thanks,
Kenny

I have used the Doug Lee's in the past on a couple of engines, still have a set stashed away. Very nice pieces!
