otherwise, can someone say what year this is

on the pad are stamped the following:

"PP 8333156"

later in same line is "0081"


cast in tail is "C99128"

Tranny was assembled on:

3156 = Thurs, 19 Mar 1970

It was the 81st trans assembled that day.

On the same pad ther should be a partial VIN stamped.

It would be a #, letter, then 6 digits

example - 0B123456

0 = 1970 model year
B = Vehicle assembly plant
last 6 = last 6 digits of the VIN

barry washington (or anyone), if you know whose car this is pls let me know b/c i have his tranny - otherwise it is for sale - came off my 70 cuda working...that's all i know about this 23 spline, 4 speed 71 big block tranny
