I have a A100 pick-up that I bought as a bare shell. I ordered V-8 engine brackets and frame brackets from a guy in P.A. who had 75 some odd A100s (he said). What I got was frame brackets identical to my sons /6 van and some very extended to the side engine brackets. The frame brackets are obviously wrong, and not knowing what the frame brackets look like, I can't tell if he sent the right engine brackets.

Can someone post some picture of there V-8 engine brackets. Pics from under the A100 would be fine. I will fab some later this summer if I cannot find any at the meets or yards soon. I would like to see what I'm looking for if I am at a swap meet. I have posted here in the wanted section many many times for mounts with no luck.

This is for my 15 yr old Daughter who would like to drive it around the yard before she returns to Florida for the winter to live with her Mother.

"very extended to the side engine brackets"

Sounds like slant six to me.
Not at home now but I can post a pic of the /6 mounts I have for a newer truck. (78) Tommorw. They should be at least similar.

They are bolted to a 318 currently, I highly doubt they are /6, as in 100% positive. I just am not sure the engine brackets are for a A100. The frame brackets he sent are /6 because they are the same as my sons /6 van. I have B100, D100, A, and B-body mounts 64-78. Every kind of engine bracket you can imagine. The ones I was sent for the block are different than anything I have, so they may be correct. If I can find the correct frame brackets and confirm that the engine brackets are correct ones in the next few months, great, it's a bolt in. If not, I have a 4x8 sheet of 3/16. and will make a set that bolts in. Yes it does have the hanging mount. I would love to see what is correct. I have posted here on and off about the mounts for the last 10 years as well as other foruums and it seems that no A100 owners use the net.

I put a 72 360 in a /6 A100 pick-up 25 years ago and got the frame and engine brackets from a local yard that had a 273 A100 van but cannot remember at all what they looked like. I do know the A100's are very different than anything else.

I bought them before the internet. I got a phone number from a guy at the mopar nationals. The guy was a real flake and his phone was disconnected after I called him back several times to tell hime he sent me /6 frame mounts and would gladly drive over to Pa. to unbolt them myself. I never have confirmed if he sent the correct engine mounts.

I bought a bare shell way back when you could still buy new sheet metal for the A100's. No doors, tailgate, interior, drivetrain, nothing. Pulled front and rear axles from a junkyard to make it a roller and bought the new sheetmetal for rust repair (front wheelwell openings, sides, rear wheelwell openings, and rear corners) doors, glass and tailgate. Bought a tranny and rebuilt it, built a motor and never found the mounts. Shoved it outside and shake the trees every few years. I have actually bought a V-8 A100 pickup and it disappeared before I got back with a trailer several months later, owners son said I had picked it up already, after that my truck has kind of just sat around.

I was just guessing. Sounded like /6.

I did the same a few years back but it was a 78 D-100, never had to change any mounts. Just dropped right in with the motor mounts that were already on the 318. Maybe I did it wrong wouldn't be the first time. All I know is the v-8 mounts that were on the 76 318 fit right in my 78 D-100. The /6 mounts I took out were very long and look pushed over but just fit the slant on a /6. See I have only taken A-100's apart and just two, but have worked over a lot of D-100's.

No the B series vans and the later (72 up) pick-ups are a whole different ball game. The A's are all to thereselves except for the rubber insulator which if my memory serves me correct are the same as some A-body cars.

There's an A100 forum over on Yahoo. Maybe someone from there might know:

Yahoo A100 forum

Good luck!

OK, sorry, just trying to help. I know they are different as the motor sits much farther back in the frame. I was just thinking they might be some what similar. I kinda figured if he sent the /6 frame mounts he might have sent /6 motor mounts as well. Those d-100 /6 motor mounts look kinda funny if you ain't familiar with 'em. Hope you find what you need, but at least you have the ability to fab them if need be. Might be an opertunity for you to help out other a-100 owners and maybe make a buck. Is there an a-100 specific web site. Maybe you could get one going. I signed up on a mid 70's b van site but there is very little activity there. Some of them might be able to help though. Try 72 to 77 b van forum. Some one there might know where to find your mounts. Tough about the jerk that stroked you with the wrong stuff. I been there.
I like to think those guys get what is commin' to 'em, eventually.

Reread what I said, didn't mean it like it reads, no disrespect. No there is a A100 sight or was. Very little action.
I can't believe I can't remember what the brackets and mounts look like. The one I did a long time ago was for "Captain Mopar" as most Moparts members know him as. We call him "Crazy Bob". Of course I had to modify the drivers side mount for the 360, no big deal. Back then I was doing back halfs, complete chassis, roll cages, engine swaps, all kinds of stuff and now my old brain doesn't remember all the details. I know when I got the parts I knew they were wrong and put it on the back burner. Now my Daughter is into it, so I'm back at it.

I feel your pain man!
The Yahoo group has enough action and archived info, including pics of the brackets.
I I get around to finding my extra pair I will take pics (sorry, not for sale) and upload them for you...but lately been very busy, so it might take a little while.
Don't despair, the brackets are available from non-flakes too.

Good luck,
Ran

Yes, that helps. Ok, everything he sent me is wrong. Only $50 I'm out. Thanks guys. If I don't find the correct parts in the near future, I've decided to make bolt on brackets using spool mounts.

As soon as I saw the above pics it came back to me. That is exactly what I used to put the 360 in Captain Mopars A100 pu. I swear I've forgotten more than I know anymore and I'm only 51. Search is on. I really hate to fab something when the correct parts are out there. I love fabbing stuff, but right is right.

I see that RodStRace and dodgefarmer came to the rescue, so I don't need to find my greasy disgusting spares.

Hope you can make a deal with dodgefarmer and be done with it.
