The turnout seem pathetic, 7ssha, 61 in pro,25 s/p .They ran a full qualifying session in less then two hours. I dont think this event can survive with the costs what they are.I hope they can come up with something. I like a lot of others, dont have the funds to be there so i am racing locally Sunday.

Al McGuire had a nice .007 light and ran 8.44 in the quick 16 qualifier!

It rained.. it snowed, it was windy and it was sunny short sleeve weather today... also the track is horrid... no prep and the cross wind had us skating all over the place.. On one run I couldnt even do an 1/8th mile pass.. Sure hope tomorrow is better

A different result: My Dart hooked great and I had the best 60' ever while running a 10.27 which equaled my best sea level pass!! Maybe it's how the car is setup as I am aware of several cars that set best times for them. Also I was the first car down the track after the snow/rain and had one of my best runs, so I think LVMS did a great job prepping the track. Boy your right about the wind, it couldn't decide which way to blow and how hard! I'm parked right on the road to the staging lanes, stop and say hi!..

Though I've been out of the loop for a couple years, I find it very hard to believe that there was NO track prep Don. LVMS has always had the finest in track prep from what I've experienced. 20 MINUTES TILL PRO ROUND 1!!!!!

The important thing is you are there laying down mid-10 second passes! Good luck today!!!

I'm heading to the right lane, unless forced. Criz's land yacht sounded good on the 1320 pull.

That's not good to hear.... In the past it's always seemed top notch. Only issue I ran into was years ago when they ran saturday night races at the dirt oval. The wind would blow dust on the top end. Made it slick enough to where even my junk would start flickering the shift light as the tires fought for traction.
