451Mopar master Joined: May 2008 Posts: 5,399 Aurora, Colorado	The Edelbrock Performer has 318 sized ports. Back in the 80's I had an edelbrock streetmaster 318 single plane intake that worked pretty decent.

dodgeboy11 super stock Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,025 Las Vegas, NV	Buy some head gaskets, pull the heads off, disassemble and gasket match to 360 sized port. Blend in an inch or so and make sure you don't go nuts on the pushrod side. Then your choice of intakes will increase dramatically.

But with a 3.73 gear ...I will put the SP2P on. The thin base ? ... with the typical thick black isolator gasket that is used with a TQ .. no problemO.

Hey I have done a few 318,s and the streetmaster works fine with a Holley 600 or 650 ,I also put the stock 340 cam in them and the J heads with 188 intake and 160 exhaust valves , and even the newer 302 heads(last three casting number not a ford head) with the streetmaster . always there is one on ebay for around $100.00 plus shipping.

scratchnfotraction I Live Here S Joined: May 2003 Posts: 15,487 Florida	a 318/360 performer has the larger 360 runner but necks down the last 1.5 inches at the head port I have used a porting kit to open it up to a 360 size port gasket matching them only had to go into the port the 1.5 inch or so I think the LD4B I have does the same thing..not 100% sure though,but it is for the 318 heads the street dominator is another small port low rise single plane intake that works well on a 318 head I have never seen an sp2p that was good for anything other than to choke one down,great if you idle around town and never get over 3000rpms

RapidRobert Circle Track R Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 36,040 Lincoln Nebraska	I have a streetmaster on a DD 318 & even tho it has very small ports/plenum it is a single plane & wondering if a SP2P or an Offy dual port would better enough to search for one (Scratchn highly recommended the offy so I'm going to find one) but after incredibly poor mileage from it (speedo is inop) I found one of the Adel type clamps on the alum fuel line, the edge of the inner neoprene insert in the ID of it had shifted & the metal outer band had rubbed a hole in the line and the only way I caught it is it got to where I smelled the gas. I just bought headers/pistons and a Moped to ride to work while I rebuilt it live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Until I swapped a set of Magnum heads onto it I was running a Weiand xcellerator with a 340 AVS carb and 1 inch 4-hole spacer on my 82 Chrysler New Yorker. Ran great with this set up.
