Anybody use them? Was going to go with An Eddy performer intake but was looking at the Weiands as well. Might be a good fit for my 370 Horse 360LA with rpm range from 0-6000?

I have 3 of the mid rise larger runner Weiand intakes here. One is on a mild 360 and the motor runs great. Stock long block '79 360 with a 340 cam and a 600 Holley.
I also have a 67 Dart with a 360 that has '308 heads, a MP 280/474 cam and stock 360 exhaust manifolds. I have the Weiand mid rise dual plane intake on that motor and it runs strong. I had a crappy sp2p on it at first because it was cheap, but when I found the Weiand at a swap meet for $75, I swapped it over. HUGE improvement. Sorry, I dont have the model number of the intakes, but all three are identical in design and they all cost between $50 and $80 used at swap meets.

I have the Weiand Stealth hi-rise manifold on my Duster 360 with a Comp 280H cam. Very similiar to the Edelbrock Performer RPM.

Both excellent manifolds for a mildly built 340-360 combo imo.

I have used a Weiand Stealth on my race car. It worked very well, but a Holley Strip Dominator was a little better on my particular application. For some race and milder combos, I believe they are very good intakes.

If you were going with a Performer you might just as well go with a stock cast iron manifold. About the only gain over the cast unit will be weight, minor performance over a stock 4 Barrel set up.

If it were the performer 318/360, I'd actually give the edge to the iron! The port sizes in the Edelbrock are smaller.
Ever look at the S.P.2.P. ? The ports are SMALLER than the 318 2 barrel intake! No wonder the intake chokes out after 3000 rmps!

I gave away a performer due to its lack of power cast iron was better. Weiand are decent intakes But on a small block the LD 340 and or M1 single plane seem to be the way to go. There are sevreal others I have used including street dom and strip dom all have good and bad feature The street dom on a small block is pain unless you modify it heavily. Strip dom eats up low end but is good 4K and up.

The Wieand mdl# 7545 was a very good intake on my 340. It was .1 faster and 1.5 mph better. Than either the Holley strip or street dominators.

I was going to go with a single plane but since it's a street motor I wanted an intake with an RPM Range thats good from idle.. I think I may try the Weiang Action/Plus intake... Thoughts on that?

We're having a little debate on the Weiand intakes over here:
https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...e=0#Post6557065

I can't see any difference between the Stealth and the Action Plus other than the machining of the carb flange. They appear to be the same casting. I'd sure like to see the two side by side.

They say they are rated for differant RPM's so I don't really know for sure.

The Weiand action+ has 318 port sizes (the runner roof ramps down at the last inch or two). You can remove that material by doing a 340/360 port deep gasket match. These intakes are better than most give them credit for. I have both stealth and action manifolds and as I examine them I dont see any difference other than the carb flange (after a gasket match is done).

That would seem to make sense, but according to the spec's in the Weiand/Holley catalog (pg 32), port size is the same.

Stealth

Action Plus

Maybe later versions of the Action Plus are different.

Ironically the LD4B has the 318 ports and the LD340 the 340/360 ports and there really isn't that big a performance difference without port matching. Yes there is a difference but not as much as one would think. Here is a place velocity helps make up for volume.
