Hi everyone! Just thought I'd post a few shots of some of the cool steering wheels I've been working on over the last few months.

This is in an FM3 Charger R/T from Red Deer and will likely be at the MATS show later this year.

Thanks, Doug Lepak

Here's a picture of the car itself. Restored by our own Kori Alexander!

Thanks Alan, I'm a very small part of what Kori accomplishes but I'm grateful to be included in the process! ... as I was in the case of the BarrelCuda!

Check out this reflection!

... and now for something completely different! A Caddy wheel that was missing ALL the material from the rim and only had a minuscule amount of plastic left where the spokes met the rim! I used an early 50's Chevy rim as a donor, cut the original ring off the spokes, welded on the donor rim and the proceeded to repair and paint it in a 2 tone color scheme as per the customers request. The colors were separated by a metal band and then the entire wheel was buried under several coats of clear, leaving a smooth finish.

This first shot is of the donor wheel laying on top of whats left of the Caddy wheel.

The original rim cut off and the donor rim welded in place.

Thanks Randy but they come in much worse condition than that! Here's a 39 Buick wheel from a few years back.

Nice work!!
Do you do 68 AMC AMX steering wheels? How much (roughly) would it cost?
Heres a pics, the wood grain is pretty good, but black backside has a few large cracks.

Hi Brent, you bet! I've done quite a few AMC wheels over the years.

Here are a few pictures to show you what your wheel can look like.

To give you a quote I'll get you to e-mail me at: stwheels@shaw.ca

I'll send you a few questions I'll need answers to and a picture of the back side of the wheel would be great too.

My amateur efforts:

Top part of wheel was almost gone with only the steel core remaining. Lots of cracks where the "wings" meet the wheel.
