i am rebuilding the trans in my dodge 4x4 , 440 ,727 auto , i came to the part in the factory service manual for band adjustment that says ! tighten adjuster screw to 72 inch pounds and then back out 2 turns . now is that 2 full turns back ??? wasn't sure had to ask lol thought i would ask the experts out there thanks mike

correct,hold the adjuster from turning when you lock the lock nut down

a 1/4" drive 8 point 5/16" socket is just right,I painted a line down mine to help count the turns when doing them in the car/truck from the bottom side

if you dont have an inch pounds torque wrench a foot pounds wrench that goes down to 6 foot pounds works

or just snug it good by hand with a 5/16 wrench and back it out 2 turns
