Anyone got a pic of the correct mast, base and jack for my 1970 Bee? I think mine is right, but need to make sure. I don't see any identifying part numbers on anything but the hook (which is correct). How can you tell if the other parts are right? Also, what is the correct plating of the shaft?

Is the mast, base and jack the same for a 1970 Barracuda? I know the hooks are different.

What is the best rattle can paint for these? I read somewhere that Krylon Stone Gray is pretty close. Anyone have input on this?

Yes, it is pretty close. That is what I used.

What additional information would be useful to people? I want to make the page as useful as possible.

I don't know enough about them to say when you got the "T" shaped jack or the tubular one.

70 Bee's were built at 3 different assembly plants

Lynch Road = "T" style mast

St. Louis = Tube style mast

Los Angeles = ?

I agree on your Lynch Rd. & St. Louis observations for mast type......My LA built 70 Road Runner has the hollow tube style. Same as pictured above.

My Lynch Road '71 Charger has the T shape. My '70 SL Road Runner has the tubular one but don't know if it's the original since I found that the hook is from a C-body.

I think Lynch road jacks had the solid post.

Thanks for those pics. My SB is a St. Louis Car and that is the type of Mast I have. My jack has an Oct. '69 date on it and that seems right for my January '70 build.

The plating looks to have a slightly yellowish tint to it. Anyone know what type of plating this is? Where could I send it for replating?

How does the Road Runner jack shown compare with a 9/'69 Hamtramck Barracuda?

Since its sort of on-topic, I'll hijack my own thread and ask about spare tires/wheels...

My car is a VERY bare bones 383 bench seat 4 speed car with pretty much no options. I am assuming it came with 14" steel wheels. Would that mean the car had a 14" spare too, and if so, what kind of date codes and tire should I look for? If the car is Fe5 Red, would the wheels and spare wheel also have been red, or would the spare have been semi gloss black? I am clueless when it comes to these trunk accessories...

If the car had body color steel wheels the spare would be the same color wheel and tire combo. This way you could rotate the tires and include the spare. If the car had optional styled wheels the spare would be a plain black steel wheel in the same size and same tire. Wasn't meant to be included in the rotation of the tires.

1970 cars with dog dish caps had body color wheels except for Challenger T/As.
