i have a manual steering box. the input shaft is 3/4 inches the power box on my 73 roadrunner is 5/8 inches. is this normal sizes? will an adapter for power to manual conversions work? i cant find the sizes at flaming river

mine may be a 74 because the rag joint is near the firewall. with the flaming river coupler kit do you have to cut your steering shaft?

manual car boxes are 3/4-36 spline, and the power ones are 5/8 diameter. There are adapters avl. to switch from power to manual from several sources. The (car) boxes themselves are pretty much interchangable, with exception of pitman arms in a lot of instances.
