i know i need to increase my hood clearance on the 69 dart to run a air cleaner with the victor manifold. i have the aar six pac hood and it's nice.i just need more room. it looks like aar has one, but i kinda like the ridge in the middle. any recomadations of manufactures. i know to stay away from unliniter products. lets see the picts.

I used a Jegs 2.5" bolt on job but then had to cut it anyway when the tunnel ram went on. Here's a pic before the saw got it and before paint.

I bought a AAR hood with a 4" cowl for my Rampage...
should be here tomorrow so I can pick it up from the
freight company... I did see it when I was in Florida,
he had to cut and add 2" to the normal 2" that they
offered... looked good

6" glasstek lift off. I like the ridge, matches the ridge on the top of the fenders

The hood in my sig pic was a 5" bolt on. I had it up just a tad in the back to clear the corner of the cowl (in the middle) when the hood was opened.

Does anybody sell a to the window cowl that can be trimmed back on an angle (or maybe already angled) so wipers can be functional still?

The bolt on hood from Glasstek you should be able retain the wipers. I had to trim the back some so when it was opened it wouldn't hit the window.

I'm new on this board, so excuse me for asking, but is that Clinton Cranston's ( i think that's the spelling) old car?

No, I have had this car since 1988, it was a /6 column shift, bench seat, 13" wheel, one owner car from Virgina with 44k miles when I bought it. It has 49k on it now. The old lady would be rolling in her grave if she ever saw it now PSST, it's for sale
