on 70-1 6-pak air cleaner bases without a fresh air hood, and 70-1 hemi air cleaner bases without a fresh air hood,

are the front shields exactly the same?

i dont have both with me right now, but was wondering ??

I don't know but here's a shot of mine & a 12/69 motor trend, both 6bbls. Someone will post a Hemi car.

can anyone post measurents of how long the shield is (from left to right)or 1 end to the other, long ways ?

The shield is exactly the same used on both Hemi and 6 pak bases.
Measurements are on the top edge end to end following the curve 22" and on the bottom 22 3/4 inches

..also originals had two small drain holes near each edge on the bottom where they were spotwelded to the base.
I dont know if the repro people thought of that.

Not repro-ing people that I know of... but definately re-bodying people.
I look to have been rebodied from my younger days...maybe too many

As I recall Jim, following your return from the Scottsdale BJ auction you told me to keep a look out for an NOS liver.

I have an NOS 6 pack base and lid if anyone needs one.
