I'll be talking to the owner later this week, so I'll see what I can find out. As I didn't build it. I just get to put it in. and fire it up

Thanks Ken
And on a side note, today went well. And with no issues it should be be back in the chassis early next week.
All the clutch components are in. Scattershield was already doweled so I didn't have to worry about dialing it in. And it's now painted and installed with all new grade 8 hardware, and I even remembered to put the block saver on.
Got the trans stripped and painted today. So it will be connected tomorrow afternoon. Nobody had header gaskets for a big block mopar on hand.so they should be in in the am. But all in all , today was good day.

Trans was all scratched up and painted hemi orange. Which just blends on against the Vitamin C Orange floor pans. So, it went from this,,,,,,,,

Hit a little snaffu, Turns out the water pump housing is a 69 and older casting, with the heater hose nipples being the same 5/8" size. Car is a 1970 and thus requires a one at 1/2" and one at 5/8"

Hopefully someone under the age of 17 won't be allowed to sit behind the wheel of this deadly vehicle
Deadly vehicle ? I'm not sure how to take this comment.
But I assure you, the owner is a long way from being just some kid.
and BTW, it's a pump gas motor, albeit it's going to have to be REALLY good gas.

Is that a burnt orange rim blow wheel I spot on the seat? If so, that is a rare piece.
Why yes,,,,yes it is . And it is done and looks FAB-U-LUS. This car is going to be a real looker when it's done.

Bill...Looks great so far, probably more work than first anticipated. I would love to be bustin knuckles and turnin wrenches on that one. I understand why and I'm glad the owner chose your shop to get it done! Are we allowed to post "business" project updates here?

Awesome build Can't wait to see it all done. Not to sound like a pain or anything but have you thought about painting the dist. cap black or something, just so it doesn't stick out against that beauty. I painted mine black because the red and orange just clashed.

Job well done Bill ....Snap some pictures of it outside before it goes.... I was certain Paul made the right choice when he chose to take the car to you...Due to space limitations, I would have not been able to start it until now...

Oh , I will . Grille goes in today. Then the exterior will be done.
We ran into a leaking brake valve when bleeding the brakes. The new one goes in today and if the weather holds out maybe I'll take the 1st 'test' drive.

beautiful job bill. did you get a chance to drive it?
Yes, put all of about 3 miles on it, and never opened all 3 carbs up one time, I swear. It goes in the trailer tonight and will be back in the owners hands before dinner time tomorrow afternoon. I brought it home to clean it up. Then picked my daughter up at school and took it back to the shop. And it absolutly made her day
