Does anybody have a picture of the correct routing for the rear POWER WINDOW wiring for the rear 1/4 windows of a 1970 Challenger?

Bill?

It's a dry heat
no pictures,
but along the left rocker, up the left rear wheelhouse, thru the package tray bracing , routes connects to the bottom of the speaker shelf, exits forward back thru the tray bracing then down the pass side wheelwell into the pass side 1/4 window regulator wiring

sorry, I don't remember HOW it attaches to the speaker shelf/tray

So it's on the "trunk" side?

The harness had three spring clips for attaching...

It attaches to the seat brace with special clips that are probably still on the body or the wire harness....

Just saw your post, you have the clips, trunk side is correct

Dayclona, do you have any of these p/w drawings for a 70B body, specifically the instrument panel portion?

Rich, the only thing I have for the 70 B body in regards to your request, is the Plymouth version, which if you need for your 70 RR vert, should help, some vert stuff on the diagrams, I'll print off everything I have regardless, as it pertains to the dash wiring

Here are some pics of a un-restored '70 'Cuda (Nov '69) I owned until recently, weird how they did it differently for the Cudas and Challengers... The defogger wiring is on top and the power window wiring is on the bottom.

I agree, that's weird. Looks like two different size clips in your pic also. I haven't seen power window wiring down there before. Anyone else?

You made me go look again - real close... I see no small (lower) clips or any signs of them ever being used. My car does not have a rear defogger - it does have dual rear speakers (Am/Fm stereo car.) Dave

The cuda pictures it looks like they used the same clips as the fog lamp wiring ?

I parted out a 1971 Barracuda Gran Coupe to get the elec windows for my Challenger and I was thinking there were clips snapped over the lower edge, but that was almost 15 years ago, and didn't want to say for sure.

How about a closeup of the clips on the challenger, are they clipped , screwed or spot welded to the parcel shelf bracing?

I'm adding a rear defogger to a Cuda in house and need to find something to secure the wiring.

There are holes in the body for those clips to snap into. If I recall correctly, the clips themselves have posts that snap into the hole. They are different than the 'Cuda fog lamp wiring clips.

I added aftermarket XV power windows to my Challenger. To hold the wiring back there, I used reproduction 'Cuda fog lamp wiring clips that I got from Mike at BE&A. I didn't clip them over the lower edge though, I put them through the holes where the other clips should go. So, my (aftermarket) setup looks like the challenger pics in this thread, only with 'Cuda fog lamp clips where the correct clips should go. Not exactly correct, but it works and I think few people will notice it's the wrong clip.

Oh I'll notice now that I've had a heads up... I may have to come to Florida just to give you a hard time about it...

Seriously though, nice attention to detail..

Almost four years into the future from the original posts on this thread, I want to thank DAYCLONA for sharing the wiring diagrams. One of my power window connectors must have popped open when the door panel was removed and I did not discover it until someone put the wires back and the switch would not work. Due to this, I now know which two wires were reversed and can get the window working. Thanks again.
