I've got an early car, but the original engine was gone around 1980, so I have no idea what the casting date was on the 340 that was put in my 8/28/67 SPD GTS convertible, but it may have been earlier..........

Yeah...but they made E-bodies for 5 years (70-74)..but only made 340's during 4 of those years.

If you think about it, there were only two engines that Chrysler never put in a New Yorker or a truck, Hemi's and 340's. So in my book other than those 2, all the rest are just truck engines.

It was 1491. Columbus had a 340 in the Pinta. The Nina and the Santa Maria had 318s. Pinta was 1 of 1 in that color combo.
