I know this has been posted before but need to know the length of the trunk torsion rods on a 70 cuda vs a 70 challenger. I know the challenger rods are slightly longer, and I'm not sure if the two I have are correct for my CUDA. Thanks.

There were 4 different sets of rods available for 1970.
Cuda Hard Top - 2963358-9
Cuda Convertible - 2964300-1
Challenger Hard Top - 2963360-1
Challenger Convertible - 2964302-3

I don't know the differences.

The car is a convertible. Didn't know conv. and hardtops were different.

Brings up a related question. I have a 71 Challenger Conv project that appears to have only 1 rod. If this is correct, was it bigger than the 2 rod setup for 70?

70 e body has 2 rods. 71 is a single rod. Need help from any 70 e body conv. owner. Please measure the trunk rod and post the length. Thanks.

I just checked my 70 Challenger, the car is assembled so a truly accurate measurement isn't possible but it appears to be 50" +/- 1/4"

Yes it should be thicker.

The rod I have is 42.5 inches long and in the car seems to be about 1 or 1.5 inches too long. In cuda conv.
