LONG OBSOLETE. nearly all were ported for blower use. under no circumstances consider using them until you have them flowed. blower heads will turn an otherwise potential terror into a pig

Those are the heads I have. If they haven't been excessively ported, they should be good. Mine have been ported a little and the intake ports are 2.06x1.85, maybe that can give you an idea if yours are usable. I'm sorry I don't have ex port dimensions handy.
Edit: mine are Rev D.

Weren't the Ross foundry aluminum heads basically an aluminum version of the 559 head, but with the dual plugs machined? If they aren't ported and flow about the same as an unported 559, that would seem to be right. I'm sure Jeff can port them with his 559 program(s) and boost that by 100 cfm.

i have a set of low mile OE 559 heads in the shop. with the factory valve and valve job. on a 4.250 bore......as i recall, they only flowed like 285 @ .500 lift.
i had another set in the shop not too long ago, fresh radius type valve job and bowl blend from Barton, Manley valves......i think they were in the 330's.
i'll check my notes to verify the numbers.

I have been told the only disadvantage with these heads is the aluminum is softer than newer castings. I did have some head gasket sealing issues. For use with a blower I would recommend being especially careful with sealing (decks clean and flat, full torque on good new fasteners). Here is a link to the tech archives with the flow numbers for mine: http://www.moparts.org/Tech/Archive/bb/16.html

The 433 is called the replacement head, aka twin plug head. This was the first aluminum head after the 65 heads. The ports had to be stock for use on 65 cars. Dual plug provisions for pro stock. This head was the everything head for Hemis for a long time, SS, top fuel, boats, pro stock, anybody that wanted to go fast. You buy them and send them to your favorite head porter, Mullins, Diamond, whatever. They are good heads and you can still send them out and have them ported and they will be anything you want. The problem is Edelbrock heads are the deal of the century. (They flow like ported 433 heads.) Edelbrock heads are the same price as ported 433 heads in 1975. Think about that. It's a good time to be a Hemi man.
