I have a JD2 model 2, it works great! It's the manual model and is great for building strong arms. I would suggest getting a few sets of dies right away, not every bar you need to bend is going to be 1 5/8" or 1 3/4".

I have a jd2 model 32. Its the electric over hydraulic. Its real nice. Manual versions are just fine for most.
