Whats the deepest drop-base air grabber baseplate? Looking for an oval style to fit on a 440 with an EddyRPM in a bulgehood 'Cuda--I am thinking even if I start with the lowest profile I will still have to modify the base.
Any thoughts?

The 440 base for the Air Grabber will sit the lowest, if that is the look you want. Thre are a bunch of aftermarket ones that may fit better if you don't mind the non stock look

This is what I did to a 383 baseplate to fit a 440 with stock intake in a flat hooded Dart. I tried a 440 baseplate, but it still slightly too tall, so I opted for the considerably less expensive 383 base.

That's about a 3/4" drop.

Buy whatever you can find that's cheap and plan on modifying it, also member Paint it Black sells fiberglass bases that you could use. For the intake you have you will probably be best cut out he original carb horn and attach the base to a std 14" drop base assembly.
