Anyone put a 295/55-15 MT drag radial under a Duster? Any pictures and details of what it took to get them in there (i.e. offset springs, mini-tub, etc.).
Thanks

Are you guys mini-tubbed? I was curious also if the 295 would look shorter than the 28". I like the way the 29.5 looks under a Duster. My spring offset kit is also set up to move the rear end back 1". I am hoping that will at least give me the option for a 29.5.
My main question is can I get a 295/55 under the car with just a spring offset kit and a stock fenderwell.

A 295 drag radial is taller than a 28" slick....

my car is not mini tubbed
and I trimmed the front lowwer quater panel
and if you move back the rear it migth touch on the back of the quater panel
with a 295 drag radial or bias 29.5 you will need to trim / cut the quarters
1.39 9.85 - 137 mph

I am looking at a 295/55 not a 295/65. The 55 is 27.8" tall and a 65 is 30". I got the impression from what little research I've done that I don't think MT has had this size out that long, that is why I was asking if anyone has used a set, as the dimensions seem pretty good for us non-tubbed guys.

check the actual dimensions of the hoosier 275/65 drag radial. For my car, that was the biggest tire I could get "up in" the wheel well with out mini-tubbing it. So to answer your question, yes Its mini-tubbed.

I just bought a set of M/T 295/55-15 for my Rampage, they measured 28" or less(same as they showed in Summit) but were a touch narrower than they said... thats on a 10" wide wheel

Mr. P
I assume that is a 15" rim? What is the actual measurement you got for tread and section width with the 10" rim?

Here is a side by side of a 295/55, 28x10.5 and a 28x11.50 I found on a LS1 site.

The spec from the MT site shows the 12" section width based on a 9.5" rim, so if the theory holds right that every 1/2" rim change equals 2/10 section change, then the 295/55 should come in with a section width of 12.2" on a 10" wheel. This is the part I am needing to confirm, as that is nearly exactly what I have to fit a tire. I am at the point I need the tire now to use to cut the rearend and I just didn't want to order a set and find out that it would not fit. Mr. P, that is why your measurements were of interest to me.
Thanks for the help.
