Hello everyone.

Weatherstripping and bushings as well as door/fender/trunk hardware have finally arrived.

I am in the process of fitting the panels and will spray the hood treatment on the cowling area soon.

I am also wet-sanding and buffing in between larger projects.

Hanging the doors:





Obviously the torsion bars and front end will have to be adjusted/aligned.....I plan on having a slightly lowered front, but this is wayyyyy to low.

Not sure if anyone looks at this anymore, lol - regardless I thought I'd keep posting pictures of the progress.

I am mounting the hood in preparation to paint the cowling area with organasol black.



Sure is dusty in the shop . . .I promise some nice clean hi-def photo's very soon.



WARNING!!! If you buy (notice above) the disk brake conversion kit from Jegs/Summit/etc... and you have a 70 RoadRunner....note that if you install it how they instruct you too, the hood will not shut. I had to lower it about 1/2" and adjust the pedal to accommodate this. The front-end section of the kit installed flawlessly - the brake booster setup is horribly designed yet sold for a "b" body mopar.

Yes.....don't be shy with the pics and I think it is a little sad that most won't bother with some kind of reply on the members projects. This is my favorite section of moparts and I just absolutely love watching the progress of these fantastic projects.

Keep the pictures coming, your making great progess, I too enjoy seeing your build underway, the car looks great. The Blue landcuiser must be one of those side projects. Did one a few years ago with a chev 350 it.

Good Morning fellas!

Yesterday evening was spent in the paint booth, prepping and painting the cowling area.

It sure does look sharp! The FY4 "Citron Mist Metallic" is an interesting color. In the booth under florescent light, it looks very goldish with a hint of retro-green. In the garage is looks olive green. Pretty strange and neat at the same time. At first I thought it looked like puke - but I wanted the color to match the fender tag, along with all of the decals, options, etc.. In short, if I ever wanted to put OEM wheels/tires on it, it'd be pretty close to stock (calm down you purists, I know there's a lot "off" with a correct resto, I'm just sayin')

Once I get all of the body/paint buffed and polished....I am not sure what to do next. I'll likely start under the hood. Phew....SO CLOSE yet so far away.

Can someone help me find a resource that lists all of the correct colors for gadgets?

For example

Hood latch
Hood catch/lever
Door latches/catches

I am looking for detailed (correct) pictures of components. There are a LOT of pictures on the web, but so many rattle can jobs and so forth, I want to make sure I get it at close as possible.

Yea I'm still here too...The nicest thing you could do for the hood latches is send them to Jules the Wiperman...But if you're on a budget, you can paint them...I have some tricks that I use.... PM me if you want

Gents. . . .to be honest I was going to just put a battery from wal-mart in the car. Then, I started to think about the "look" under the hood and bit the bullet:



Heavy sucker! I had a little buyer's remorse with this battery, but it's the correct part, so I am trying to justify it :-)



Another expense was the wiring harness - even though behind the dash was in really good shape:



Looks painful in the box, but I have wired a rig before, shouldn't be too bad.
