I have never gotten a straight answer from them.
Most likely because its outside the box.
And they dont personally know anyone who has done it.
I think its a great idea, and its my money.

Mike...I'm pretty sure the Aveo fan uses the same motor...I run it on the Arrow with a 63 amp alt.

dont mind the surge and it running 13amps when running
but if its 25 amps running I'll look elsewhere

GTX69 , in the HHR post you listed 30/35 amps on low and 50 amps on high for the Taurus fan. Was that estimated or measured.

Also were the numbers you listed for the HHR fan measured as well 30 amp start up, and 13 running? Thanks for your time and effort in listing that info if its correct. mike

Being that the Taurus fan assm is thicker(the whole
thing) I probably cant use that... I'm working with
some small area for the radiator and fan

Well thats the problem... I have to put the radiator
in the nose/fascia on a angle... so its not the fan
motor itself I have to clear... it'll be the shroud
more than anything(at least I hope)

Rick...I'm not at a GM store anymore....Rock Auto would be the way to go. They show three different manufacturers for the HHR fan...personally I would probably drop the extra $9 for the Dorman..
