This is a glasstek pin on hood and it is does not weigh a lot and is not flimsy either.Nice hood and was just about paint ready as shipped, didn't need a lot of work to be nice. And goes back to the windshield unlike the AAR I had on my 68 dart.

Beequik,
How effective is your cowl? The reason Im asking is judging from the pic it appears to be 5-6 inches away from the windshield. Can it still flow air into the carb that far away from the windshield?

Probably not very effective, but I ordered a Hemi Dart hood and when I arrived at Rockingham (met them at a show to pick up)they had made me a really nice 68 Hemi Cuda hood!! So rather tahn risk them shipping me another and the time to make it( I was in a hurry)I took that hood and the difference back on my end. So that is that story. Looked good but not what I wanted/ ordered.

How many of you A and B body guys are actually covering(eliminating) the factory cold air vent in front of the windshield? It seems it wouldn't matter how close the scoop is to the windshield if the air is just going down the vent anyway. I've got a 4" cowl for my Valiant and we're getting rid of the vent.

Mine is a AAR pin on. Nice hood and they have a mold so no grafting of scoops on hoods. I lift mine off by myself.

If you want more pics just ask.

Bigtime,

Would you have any more pics of the mounting? How many pins or is it dzused on? How rigid is the front, does it bow or flex up at higher speeds, mid 140's?
