I've never done it and now I wont have to for awhile no stripes but have heard that you can use masking tape to help prelocate/mark position. I'd say wipe down the application areas with wax and grease remover. Spray a solution of water and a tiny bit of dish soap then carefully squeegee out the water and let dry. Some folks say the sun and a pin (ouch) can take care of bubbles? google it

Thanks Guys for the comments. I said I would not post another picture until the stripes were on, Well Im half way there. I have them layed out and feel I have them pretty much symetrical for both sides of the car. The final install will need to wait for the next nice day with no wind. I think it will help set off the Lemon twist color.

Thanks guys! Dave that is a great looking car! Well it was a another rainy Seattle day and I figured since yard work was out of the question lol I would make my first attemp at the Stripe install . I followed Gary's instructions to a tee except for the temp it is only 55 here today. I just took my time and followed my layout tape and got the drivers side complete. It looks pretty good only 1 little flaw but Im going to run with it. the mat black really makes the yellow pop.

Here is the view from the back. Hope the temp comes up this weekend and should be able to finish the other side.

Looks GREAT! Man you've done a nice job with this car. ...and I know it's been said many times in this thread, but it is SO cool to see one of these later E's done up stock rather than all modded up. Dave

The weather finally warmed up in my area. I got the stripe on the passenger side. It went much smoother with the increased outside temps. Took it out for another drive yesterday ran great. There is always odds and ends to finish up but have an alignment scheduled for Monday morning.

Thanks guys for all the positive comments on the car. My plan is to stay right there with them during the work its the neighborhood les schwab dealer that mounted the tires. They wont have any problems with that. I will take off the trim rings in the morning thats a good idea! It feels like I need to fine tune the carb some I believe that the motor is starting to break in a little. Put on about 40 miles today.

Front end Alignment is complete. It was off quite abit, drove OK but drives nicer now. Much tighter holds the road and corners better .
