Need to get going on the engine compartment. Installed the Radiator Fan and Shroud today. Still looking for a good Mopar looking fan belt. This is not the one. Want to fire the motor in September if all goes well.

nice... do you have the underhood inner fender mounted seat belt reset relay? I may know where one is. Saw a hornet with one

I guess I need to look into that relay not even sure where it would mount. Here is a shot of the hoses going in. Still need to do some trimming and final fitment issues. I want to fire this thing up and hear it run..

Here is another shot of the engine compartment getting closer and closer. Got the rest of the hoses installed today will do plugs and wires tomorrow. Air cleaner always adds to the Mopar effect......

Just got back from a little vacation it was a great gettaway. enjoyed the sun and the islands for our anniversary.

Just picked up the bumperettes from the chrome shop, they look great, $100 for the set and they had to plug some holes on the top that were used for some past fog lights I presume. Most people dont like these but I am keeping it stock as best as possible. They bolted up nice and the front end is now complete less the liscense plate.

More to come on the engine final touches

Here is a shot of the choke setup. Being this is a late 72 setup it is different than my 73 manual pictures. Does this hook up look correct?

I thought the 73 choke area on the intake was open in 73, but check this 72 dated unit intake I guess they started that choke well in 72.

Thanks I have an extra open one (manifold) viewed below but the manifold that came with my original motor was the one pictured above. It is dated 12/22/71. Not sure if it had been replaced but the rest of the motor was untouched as far as I can tell.

The intake with the 71 date would not be correct for your car. Your intake should have a 72 date on it and use the newer style choke.

I think my October 72 built 318 has a late Sept. 72 date. The intake wasn't sitting around long before it was installed on an engine.

Very few updates on the Cuda lately. Work on the car has been slow. Still have not fired up the motor yet but it is getting close maybe over the Holidays. I am still going over every detail of the motor wiring ect. maybe Im a little aprehensive too. Just need to Do It!!! I have been working on setting up an area for my shop. I hope to have it built this spring. Its going to be a 32 x 40 Pole building put up. T-111 siding with a composition roof is the plan with 12' walls and three 10x10 doors. The plan is to put the Cuda and the Covette in this and do car work in the garage on the house. We'll see. Here is a shot of the prepped area.
