WOW!!!

That's looking great. The whole look of the car changes with the grill installed.

I don't know what possition the factory installed the exhaust pipe to resonator clamps but...in my old job, whenever we installed dual exhaust systems, we would turn the clamps inward. It's just a cleaner installation if you don't see those clamps/nuts hanging down. If that's how the factory installed them though, I'd leave it.

I agree with Darren. The grille really made a big difference in the progress. Everything looks great on the car. Tips made a big difference too. Keep the momentum going. You're getting close now.

Thanks Guys Great video to keep in this post. The Challenger one is good too. Thanks for finding that. The handling of those cars back in 1973 was sweet but nothing like the cars of today..

Starting to work on installing the Grille tonight The new one fits OK but will need some finessing to resolve some fitment issues.

Still working on the front end. Here is a lesson learned, prefit your parts prior to painting. For some reason the original lower valance had the lower flange that the lower grille bolts to slightly bent and I could not install it without making some adjustments and some paint touch up.

Thought Id better prefit the bumper brackets and bumper prior to bolting on the rubber filler panel and the lower valance. They fit pretty well the bumper is off center slightly and I should be able to adjust that out. I have the brackets all the way aft and even with the filler panel installed there is a 3/4 inch gap or so between it and the chrome. The filler panel has some scuffs so I want to fix it and paint it up befor everthing goes on complete.

The bumper is located all the way aft and there is still a large gap. Even with the filler panel installed it will have about a 3/4 inch gap. Is this normal on a 73 car?

Cleaned up the filler panel and reshot it with SEM. The only issue I have now is a gap between the bumper and the grille of about 3/4 inch. Is this normal for a 73 Cuda the bumper is all the way aft right now.

I'll try and remember to take some pictures of 73-74 Cudas this weekend for you. It may be difficult finding cars that still have the bumpers in the stock location though. I'll let you know.

Thanks Ray and Darren for the comments. Still got issues popping up though. Went to put on the bumperettes today. When I got the 5 truck load of parts with the car The front bumperettes were not the right ones for the Cuda. Unfortuanatly the ones I had were for a Dart I think and they went out for Chroming. Know anyone who needs freshly chromed 73 or 74 Dart front bumperettes? I need Cuda ones.

I looked for 73 and 74 Cudas this weekend but didn't see many that I would consider using as a referance. There were a good number of 72's though.

One I looked at had the back of the bumper flush with the front of the filler strip. The second one had about a 3/4" gap just like yours. So, I think the way you have it now would be OK. It's probably at the high end of what's acceptable though.

Here is a shot of the front end with the valance installed and the bumper guards missing. The filler panel has about a 3/8 in gap now.
