Thanks Darren. Being on the rubber does make it seem like I'm getting a little closer. I have a set of 14" magnums that I got for a steal. $80 for a set of 4 they are 6"or 6.5 wide so I may try and get a set of 235/or 245 to go on them not sure what kind of tires though.

Trying to set the front end up the best I can for the alignment shop. Seems to roll nicely and the wheels measure out equal across the front and back side of the tire. I Just used a square on the concrete floor to check the top and bottom of the rim.

Don't get too carried away with the alignment right now. Once the grill and bumper are on, your alignment specs are going to change.

You can try to get it fairy close right before it goes to the alignment shop. Also, don't tighten down any of the suspension parts until the full weight of the car is on the suspension.

My next step will be the grill and headlight bezels. I was wondering if anyone sells a fastener installation kit for this. I checked R/T specialties nothing on line for a 72-74 may just need to call them in the morning.

I have been doing exhaust for the last day or so. This is definatly a good time to have a lift in your garage. I wish I did. The accurate system is really nice. The passenger side is going in well it lines up nicely. Had to drill the holes in the trunk pan for the rear exhaust holder. Tips are critical to align in the cutout and I think they look good. Anyone have any specs on how much they protude from the rear valance?

The rear valance was the original one to the car and I had a question about the fact that it will vibrate on the bottom of the gas tank and it seems I am missing a stiffener that goes from the lower bumper rail down to the bottom of the valance just inboard of the cutouts. Does anyone have a shot of what these look like on a 73 Here is a picture of a 70 car and this view came from my 73 shop manual but you look up parts and 70 is a unique installation.

I think they call it a stone deflector support. The holes are there and any insights would be appreciated..

The Challenger rear valances attach different so I won't be of any help there.

The outlet pipe on the Challenger mufflers had a lip where the pipe was expanded so the tip could be installed. That lip located the tip in the proper location so there was no guess work on the assembly line. The Cuda mufflers maybe the same ones used on the Challengers. I would think that the Cuda tips would be self aligning as well.

Finally, here are the pics. As I mentioned, mine is not cutout. There is no center support. There is about an inch of clearance around the gas tank so there should be no rattle. This is an OEM panel I stripped and smoothed out. The body guys then fixed what I did and mounted it for me.

Thanks Craig for the pictures. From what Im finding out the only year that used the bottom holes in the valance was 1970. The bracket was very unique and tied into the rear support then into the bottom valance holes on each side of the gas tank.. Thought they should have changed the design and eliminated the holes in the valance once the brkts were no longer used

Pretty well centered and even. The accurate system went together pretty well with only minor adjustments

Starting to work on installing the Grille tonight The new one fits OK but will need some finessing to resolve some fitment issues.
