Going in It is the perforated style I believe but my car was built on Oct 31 of 1972. I would like to see the black out area on the grill I need to do this before the motor goes in.

Looks very nice. So when will you be flying out to Iowa to help me with mine?

I'll look for the blackout picture for you.

Here's the blackout picture for you. This is a 72 but the pattern should be similar.

Here is a shot of the fender fit and gaps after rework and Paint. Charlie (mopes70) did an outstanding job on the metal repair and Show Quality Restoration (Longview) restored the finish. Charlie has been giving me advise and instruction along the way and I would not be where I'm at without his help.

Thanks Darren Nice to meet you and I appreciate you sending me those shots of the blackout Paint I will need to get that completed prior to my motor install. It is great to see all the work you've done on your car. You and I are about at the same spot on our builds.

Darren, With all the great work you've done on that car you should have no problems with a headliner. Just take your time and follow the Resto Rick steps and before you know its your done. I was skeptical at first but My thought was so what if I screw it up I can always buy another the only challenging step is finding the holes. I almost screwed up on the dome light but I got it to fit and looks like it was done at the factory. My next car is going to be a convertable. Just started looking

Dissassemble my old dash. Took the frame over to have it powder coated and we experimented with the baking temps so as to not melt the rubber coating on the wire retention straps. I think it came out looking very nice.

Looks awesome
Crazy how different the color looks in the dark, very pale, or is that just the camera doing that?

What is the gloss level on the black powder caioted dash frame? Matte, suede, semi-gloss, flat, semi-flat, etc. I'll be redoing mine here very shortly.

11.33 @ 118.46 on motor
10.75 @ 125.35 w/ a little spray

I think its the black 08 color which is classified as a semi gloss.
