there is an aluminum vise jig just for holding the an fitting... I know they sell a fancy big tool setup but I have never had a need to use that!

I have two of them.........one attached to the end of each arm. The big thing is the cut........if you get that clean , you are golden. Tape it up and zip it with a cut off wheel .....blow the crud out of the line and use a bit-o- motor oil on the inside of the line. Works 99.9873 % of the time.

What was the tool that was mentioned here awile back that made it easier to put these type of hose ends on braided lines?

thanks

I just tape the area of the hose where I will cut (I cut in the middle of the tape) and it holds the wires nice so you can slide the fitting over the hose

So do you leave the tape on during install, and remove it later, or will the fitting cover the tape enough so that you can't see it?
thanks alot

the fitting will go over the tape(and not be visible if to long)! I used the clear strapping tape in the past! I also use to apply a lil petroleum jelly also to help the install!
