Has anyone read the 2011 rulebook ?

Im not a member and i have not.

Im going to throw some guesses out on the latest Nhra insanity :


Rule # 163a
No driver may talk or converse with any other driver or crew member once the car has pulled into the staging lanes .

all seat belts must be replaced every race with new Sfi approved belts.

163c

any car going faster than 35mph in the 1/8 mile must have a parachute.


163d

All cars in competition must have a John Force Racing decal on the car window

The new membership fee is $700 per year . You must be a member to race.

163f

Spectator fee for Nhra national events is now $200 per day.

163g

Racing gas , nitromethane , nitrous oxide , methanol , and alcohol are ALL banned for competition use.

163h

ALL Chrysler designed Hemi-type cylinder heads are illegal , in all classes , due to their advantage .

163i

Any person , spectator or driver / crew with the last name beginning with P thru Z , must pay an additional $40 to enter track premises.

ALL cars must have double-nutted lug nuts made from SFI titanium and must be welded to the rim









ok .... i got more , but lets get this thread rolling....add some more rules if you would like..

All cars and drivers must be in full compliance before they get to Brainerd.

It's local , but it works.

Are cars east of the Mississippi river must remove the air from all race car drive tires and inflate with C.R.A.P.A. ( California rated air plus additives ) before making a pass.

sees it, he will make all these thoughts actual rules "just cause he can'.

164: All contestants must wrinkle rear tires; said wrinkling must be a minimum of 15* rotation between the rim and tire.

The NHRA in cooperation with the Federal Government will now institute the ET Adjustment and Density Altitude Redistribution Act. All timeslips, incrementals contained on such timeslips including the ET and MPH for both 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile shall be adjusted to reflect the results of racing at 8,000' Density Altitude. This means that all cars/drivers racing at tracks like Cecil, Atco or similar tracks producing "mineshaft air" shall be penalized approximately 1.5 seconds and/or 15 mph to make comparison of performance numbers and incrementals between racers on the Internet more equal. No longer will racers who suffer because of their physical location be disadvantaged when posting times in their signatures. All official NHRA records or accomplishments shall be "adjusted" to reflect this change.

163 1/2: Due to safety concerns all races will be run on side by side chassis dyno's with all cars properly tied down with (10) 3'' NHRA approved straps. All runs will be done with a NHRA licensed driver in the seat with all the required NHRA approved safety equipment on.( Please refer to pages 133-201 in the NHRA rule book )

To be on the accepted tie down list: just bring dump trucks loaded with cash to the NHRA headquarters in Glendora Ca. or Dallas Green or Tom Comptons house whichever is more convenient. If the device is more geared towards the JF or DS show it is most likely to get accepted quicker, if it can help us force the sportsman/ bracket racer to pay more in fees we`ll welcome it with open arms and our hands out.

RULE Z
Any car, regardless of make, that shows up with a GM LS1 installed, will be given free admission and allowed to run any class the owner desires.

163/b-sIf you are a mere spectator don't think you can speek to the racer. Only with no eye contact, keep your eyes looking down. And for any spectator who tries to set in the drivers grandstand, immediate ejection from the track.

Rule S: All spectators will be forced to watch Super class races and will be given a guide to help them better understand why someone would enjoy slowing a car down during a race.......

If a spectator can watch just 1 full round of the supers without leaving his seat that spectater can then look the driver in the eye and have the drivers grandstand seat.

Rule: 123PG - all engines must run on pump gas due to excessive mph and tree huggers.

Rule BS-ou812
To prevent any delay of racing due to oil downs, all fluids must be drained from car BEFORE the car enters the staging lanes for competition. Those found running fluids will be permanently banned from the NHRA.

Rule # 265e

There shall be no loud exhaust on any vehicle in competition . All vehicles , including Top Fuel , must have 3 pairs of mufflers installed.

RULE BS-696969

Any car not making the minimum weight requirement for a given class, must have weight added to the vehicle by the way of racing decals only. Decals must be applied in alphabetical order, from front to rear, and placed in groups according to colour. Those not meeting this requirement will be forever banned from future NHRA events, but will be permitted to compete at Sunday night Walmart parking lot events.

Rule BS #101..All sportsman cars must pay twice the entry fees to support the show cars!! This ain't far from the truth!!
