Hey fellas. Merry Christmas! I received great news the other day. My son cam home from college to visit and he informed me his motor (3.9v6) in his 2000 dakota was leaking water. I checked it and i was pleased to find a cracked block.
Great, now I got a motor to replace on my days off instead of my planned hunting trip. I found a long block for it today. My quest is do yall know what i might expect in the topend replacement/eng swap maybe someone has done this before and knows some tricks? Is there a manunel to help me out? Dont want any surprises if i can help it. New project for me. Thanks ahead for any advice!

Are you going to plunk a complelte replacement engine in or will you tear into the replacement engine first?
