My father and I have been restoring a 70 Cuda. I am 300 miles away on business right now and I recieved a phone call from him this morning. Before I left I thought all of the electric issues were squared away. He said under the dash board there is a light that comes on when he turns the ignition key on. The light has a black wire and a blue wire with a white tracer on it. The light also appears to be making a sizzling sound when it is on. Does anyone know what this light is for? The sizzling sound worries me. I would look it up in the manual but being 300 miles away I don't have it available.

The last thing I want is a Christmas barbeque with Cuda as the main course.

Thanks Jeff

Im not sure what the sizzling sound is but the wires you are talking about sounds like the one for the oil pressure light on the dash.

It looks like the black with a blue tracer is either oil pressure or brake warning light. Am I reading this right. It also explains why the light goes on with the ignition in the on position.
