I have a chance to pick up a P5155072 block for my next hemi but can't find info on it. Is this block a standard height cam or raised? I know it's finish honed to 4.25 but it is siamesed and I would like to know if it was designed to go to 4.5 as that is what I want to build this time. Any help is appreciated.
And lastly, how is the machining on these (I'll have it bored anyway but I was more concerned about line hones of mains and cam and how true the decks are)? I would sooner have the older style MP block but I won't buy used and they are a bit hard to find new.

Sheldon

P5155072
Gray Iron
4.25 bore
Siamese bores
Finish honed
Standard Cam height
Uses Mopar casting #5153843
Max bore is 4.36 (but sonic checking may allow more)

Always machine any new block. This means:
Line hone
Equalize decks
Check lifter angles
Check bore taper (rehone sometimes required)
Etc ...

I have one of these blocks too, but have not had it sonic checked yet. Anyone know what bore these blocks are capable of?

Did it have a sticker on it saying what max bore is ? You really need to have it sonic checked well , the blocks before world took over are hit or miss .

Nope, it didn't have a sticker on it when we got it. Just the tag w/ the part number on it tie wrapped around the front main cap.
