Was looking at different brands to buy and wondering what brands were good. We are going to just buy the 8 necessary offset rockers. From what we saw, Crane, Hughes, and Harland Sharp had some rockers available for the Victor with Harland Sharp being the most expensive. What are you guys thoughts or suggestions?

Out of those rockers, I vote Harland Sharp. I dont know much about the Hughes stuff, Im betting they are made by a similar company as the Indy stuff (Dove) but not sure. I would look into T&D Machine. They might be priced close to the HS stuff and they will take the abuse of high spring loads. What cam do you plan to run? And do you think the future will call for a upgrade. Its cheaper to but the better rockers the first time, than buying two sets..

i went with the t@d's and they are nice. i will have to barly grind the rockers so that they wont interfear with the +.100 retainers.(only a few thousands) also the studs that came with my t&d's and with the heads only are 1/2" long where they thread into the heads. the heads are tapped to a full 3/4" and i'm going to have to buy some longer studs for that.

The T&D stuff is really nice. They make some excellent parts.
You want the best? T+D or Jesel. Harland Sharp is OK. The rest is junk IMO.

Our cams are between .660 and .720. Its a 497 bracket engine that won't see more than 7500rpms. We want things to last and perform well. I don't know if Jesel is quite in our price range but we may hold up a bit and get the HS or T&D stuff.
Are the T&D rockers around the same costs as HS? About $75 per rocker?

I think anyone considering the Harland Sharps for Victors should mock up some HS rockers on those heads first before dropping the $$$ on them. It wouldn't surprise me if their longer distance between the shaft c/l and roller tip c/l puts the sweep pattern too far towards the exhaust side of the valve tip. HS rockers are also significantly heavier than most other brands from what I've seen weighing them, and a good chunk of that weight is hanging over the valve end of the rocker, too. IMO, they could use a serious re-design to streamline their Mopar rockers' bodies. As always, just my ... Plenty of people on here absolutely love HS rockers and seem to get a case of heartburn when I express these particular opinions on their products.

not intending to hijack, but will more than .650 offset work?
for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

Go only with the Harland Sharps .650" offset or the T&D's. Hughes does not have near enough offset requiring a lot of grinding on the pushrod tunnel on the side of the intake port and the bottom of the heads. Saves a lot of agravation.
Had this problem with my Hughes rockers, I have 5/16" pushrods too. They are a nice setup, just require some more work.
