Oh, that's hot. What are the smaller outside lines from the heads? Oiling for valvetrain or coolant return?

The lines below the valve cover rail are oil drainback lines to the oil pan. The lines under the intake are coolant lines.

I don't want any bad info. out there so to set the record straight the 417 W8 in gearjammerdart's car has gone 5.30 @ 132 on a 36 nitrous jet @ 3200 pounds. Ladder bar, Bob's ProFab front end, Liberty Equalizer trans. with a single disc clutch. Oh yeah this ET was at our home track, Motor Mile Dragway, Radford, VA. DA is usually 3500-5000ft.

I knew they were too high on the heads to be coolant lines. Thanks for explaining.

Deep Pockets and BIG CUBIC INCHES or little motor with spray or both ... Running 5.20 with 572 no Spray 2700lb MS car chassie. Running 540cubic with little spray 2400lb back half 4-link CM cage Scamp. 5.00 is what I'm shooting for. All I can do is hang on and go for a ride and see what she will do...
