IMO your car has far from sleeper looks and it should run what it does.

I agree it should run what it does ( actually it should have ran better and it will), but far from sleeper looks? 10" tire, pump gas, 6 pack hood and a stock back seat? Most of the cars that I run with dont fit that description... you still butt hurt bout that 340 car I bought???

I have a local track that I can go to also, but yes I do track rentals too... $100 to make 30 passes VS $25 for 3 passes ??? seems like a no brainer to me... besides I love thrashing on back halfed, fully caged, stickered up, wheelie barred, chute hangin off the back show ponies... with my "street car"... Id rather have a fast car that looks slow than a slow car that looks fast...

So how quick is this ride of yours and what is it

70 Duster... Not that quick, super mild big block with a bottle... 6.20 last time out, just took another 150 lbs out of the car, and went to a good exhaust system... high 5's are the goal... Nothin special... But, I drive the car regularly, on pump gas on the street, dont wanna ad the cage because I dont want the race car look, and I like getting in and out of it easily... I take my kids to school in it...

Mike, go out in the garage with a tape measure and get back to me with the tread width measurement. It better run 9.80s on nitrous , right? Anyway BIG rear tires, Big Block 500 cubes give or take, fenderwell headers, huge hoods scoop, NoS. Post a picture of this mild mannered pump gasser and see what other people see. No im not butt hurt on that Duster, you had to have it to...flip

Actually Joe... No more fenderwell headers, tire is a 28x12.50-15 ET street (10.00 slick)... goal is 9.50s on a 200 shot... Its a 496, 10-1, out of the box edelbrock rpm heads, LY rods, cam is under .600 lift solid... 850DP holley... I fill it up at AM/PM before I race... A 6 pack scoop is not "huge"...
As for the Duster, would have never been "flipped" My divorce forced it... but all the Moparts Haters always know best...

Thanks, I may in the future complete the cage by running it through the dash and with removable low mounted door bars... I agree with safety, My point is simply that a cage isnt "mandatory" (from a performance standpoint) to run in the 5's... And to me its ridiculous that a 10.00 doesnt require a cage but a 9.80 does, is one accident really gonna be that much different than the next by goin 4 MPH faster???

And Joe, heres a pic of that "HUGE" hood scoop... LOL

Are these remarks soley directed at me, or other people? And if so just because i said the car looks far from a sleeper and should run 9.80 with a 500ci on juice im a "Hater".
