I am sure if I changed gears from 3.23's to 3.73 I would pick up some as well. But right now just lots of torque and highway gears. I can't get over how simply awesome your car and combonation is! '72 Scamp, 3500#, 440, S400, blowthrough, meth. inj. 9.78 @ 139 so far at 12 psi, 11.00 @ 131 on real street tires.

All motor stock frame rails with just a mini-tub and ladderbar/coilovers. The cam is small for the motor but I run on a smallish tire so I can't put down as much power as I want to. It's a 499 with cnc EZ-1 heads, a .640 roller, 14to1 compression on 110 Sunoco, Indy 440-2 intake with a Quickfuel 950. This motor is very reliable and is just a bracket motor. Running 4.30 gears and a 727. 2013 NHRA D4 Stock Champ #4 in the World IHRA Stock 2x IHRA Div.4 Stock Champ 14x Track Champ All using a Ultimate Converter Concepts converter. BB70DUSTER master B Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 4,436 SO CAL	Well, as of last time out, my leafspringed, cal-traced, mini tubbed car with only a roll bar went consistint 6.20 on pump gas, next time out it will/should dip into the high 5's... So no, I dont think the car has to be backhalfed, ladder barred or caged to hit a high 5...

I went skydiving and the guys next to me had chutes on, thought I would look cool without one
