my mom had both her eyes done. seems like a horrible ordeal, but she said it was nothing. just lay there and relax and enjoy yourself. and afterward- wow! she said she didn't realize what she was missing. you'll be glad you did it!
for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

Good luck Mike.
I know the feeling..just had hernia surgery and it is NOT as fast as I had hoped. 4 weeks and still cant lift much per the doctors orders...sure makes it hard to throw blocks, cranks and heads around....
Best wishes for speedy recovery.

This is a common procedure thanks to leaps in medical technology...........best wishes just the same. I hate going to the Dr. for anything , technology or not .........especially today's trip. Scoped from both ends.........the double header if you will. They had it on a T.V. screen so I could watch if I wanted. I said I didn't want , and they would not turn on ESPN or Speed channel for me , so technology still has a way to go in my opinion. Hope it is a slam dunk for you.

where do they get the lens? Will you still need glasses? I hate wearing specs. best of luck with it.
They're doing just my left eye.... they make the lens.... they make a small cut in the eye, go in with a sonic probe(I think its sonic) bust up the old lens then suck it out... fold the new lens in half and slide it in and pop it open then install it ... thats about it

hope it turns out ok. Should be no problem. how long for the patch?
I can take the eye cover off tomorrow unless I tend to rub my eye at night... does sorta itch and I want to rub it
I think its payback for all those years of typing with one hand..
I have always used both hands BUT I only use a few fingers on each(never took typing in school)... if I have to type a novel I let the wife do that(she's fast)

What ever you do don't scratch the eye. Take a pill and go to bed. Put extra tape on it! About 12 years ago I had lasik surgery along with others that day, next day reported back to the doctors office and one person rubbed her eye and folded the lens over. Not good. Good luck
Believe me I'm not rubbing it... thats why I have the patch on and the doc told me to wear it tonight in bed just so I dont have the urge to rub it and if need be put it back on for the nights for a while... I have to go see the doc tomorrow also just to see if its doing fine

They took the cover off of it today and I'm still trying to get use to it... things seen distorted but the doc said that goes away in a few day... I sure hope so... but the vision is clear... one thing now is the new lens is clear and the real lens are a light yellow tint and I can see that when I close each eye
