Had problems getting all the stuff lined up in the engine compartment on my 69 Dart 340 so I took off the motor mounts. Aren't these 318 motor mounts?

The passenger side engine bracket is the sam , the drivers side is different. 340/360 requires one that is wider across the ears , what is the problem you are having ?

With these mounts on the car I had to push the motor and Transmission forward about one inch which caused the drivers side header to hit the steering gear box and the fan/clutch was to close to the radiator.

Where did you get those brackets ?

Did you have them on the right side of the block ears ?

273/318 bracket is wider than 340/360 one.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Answered in the header thread.

They are B and E body brackets. Drivers side is a 340 mount, pass side is a 318/340/360 mount.

You need a bracket with the holes near the other side of the bracket.

Note where the holes are in comparison to the wedge looking bracket you currently have. The ones pictured are A body drivers side, 318 mount converted to 340 style on left and a std 318 mount on right.

273/318 bracket is wider than 340/360 one.

Thanks for the correction , it's been 30 years since I swapped a 340 in place of a 318 .
